I got to meet Pina and Frank at condo where they moved too. Was always nice to see Pina in the hallway as she always had something to say and always a big hug . She had presents with her sometimes for me. Coffee time with everyone on Thursday mornings was so fun with her . She was always making us all laugh . I will miss you so much .

Memories of Pina are being shared today at Hillcrest Place, as we reflect on her time with us. The kitchen was a lively place when Pina was working and so much good food was made. We remember all the beautiful cakes that she made and decorated for our special events, whether it be for Valentines, St. Patrick's, Easter and Birthdays, they were made with so much love and dedication. I am so glad I got to work with this wonderful lady who brought so much joy into the lives of all who knew her.

So sorry to hear about Pina this morning. I had the privilege of working with Pina for a number of years at Jerrys Bistro upstairs on Rosser avenue. She was so proud of her family and would not stop boasting of their achievements. And could she cook! She took great pride in her finished product, whether it was her famous cream of carrot soup or her delicious cheesecake. I was away from home attending BU and Pina was my 'Manitoba Grandmother', always asking if I was eating right, and reminding me to work hard and treat people with respect. I met my wife Melanie at that restaurant, and Pina threatened that if I didn't treat her well, she would send Frank after me. I thought Frank would be a bit easier on me than Pina would be! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
