As a new neighbor across the street, we only knew John (and Marybelle) since summer of 2015. He was always a friendly spirit and loved hearing about what we've been up to as we had newly built our house across the street. Living on the street for a long time, he was a wealth of knowledge about the neighborhood and could tell you the many things that had changed over the years. All the other neighbors around us also enjoyed helping out where we could, by cutting the grass, or shovelling the walkways. John will be missed on our street, and we wish that we had known John longer. Condolences to the family in this hard time.
